I received a report and photos yesterday from Fred Englund of Lynchburg of a
female Long-tailed Duck that was present for one day on Friday March 21st on
Timberlake, which is within a private residential area. Two other females have
been present at Mill Creek Lake in Amherst County since December 21st and
February 25th, found by Mark Johnson, and both are still present there as of
last report.
Also, I had the first towhee of the season in the yard this morning, a male.
At least two Fox Sparrows are still present in my yard in town as of this
weekend.
