VA BIRDers,
I joined Emily Southgate and Linda Millington to help on the Loudoun Co
atlas today, birding a few locations between, roughly, Aldie and Middleburg.
Finding migration concentration areas is a challenges and we found, perhaps,
3. Others were weak. Payoffs were Aldie Dam Rod, Champs Ford Rd and Tail
Race Rd. Other locations had a few birds but not big payoffs. The notables
for the 6 hrs we birded are below. Highlight was a female first year
Kentucky Warbler on Aldie Dam Rd. No swallows were observed. We ended with
67 species.
