FAIRFAX CO. - Took a bicycle ride down the MT Vernon bike path this morning
and then up Waynewood in search of Mississippi Kites. After looking for a nest
along Old Stage Rd. and then the south edge of the Sandburg MS parking lot, I
headed North along Ft. Hunt Rd. Within a few blocks, I saw one adult bird
circling over Noral(?) Pl., just west of Ft. Hunt. It veered off and made a
beeline north and I lost it. Noral Pl has new houses and I could not find it on
my
ADC, but it's just a block or two north of the middle school...it was a great
morning for a bike ride!...Rich Rieger
