I spent this morning birding the 5-miles of the Noland Trail in Newport News.
Highlights included an excellent view of a Blue-Winged Warbler who was
vocalizing, a singing Black-throated Green Warbler, a couple of singing
Blue-Headed Vireos, singing Yellow-Breasted Chat, a lingering Red-Breasted
Nuthatch, and a nice pair of Blue Grosbeaks, my FOS. Alot of bird activity
this morning, and alot of singing, it was nice to be able to get in there on a
weekday morning when there is less traffic on the trail. Take care,
