VA-BIRDers,
This morning I visited the Mason Neck Great Marsh area followed by a stop at
Pohick Bay from the boat launch parking lot. Waterfowl are increasing in
diversity and numbers, albeit the Lesser Scaup totals are still an order of
magnitude lower than typical for end of December. Arrival was Greater
Scaup. Also, encountered a couple of Pine Siskins at Hallowing Pt. Totals
for the waterfowl in both locations are listed below.
