Nice nite for a walk home from Old Town Alexandria to the BelleView Condos
along the GW Pkwy. Was hoping to spot the Greater White-fronted Goose, but all
the geese were out on the edge of the main channel, a bit too far for just the
bins I was carrying.
I did manage to spy 5 COOTS just by the Stone Bridge and a few foraging
KILLDEER on the mudflats. The MERLIN was spotted flying to a small tree by the
famous eagle nest, just next to the golf course.
