Yesterday (Aug. 19th) we had the first Yellow-breasted Chat ever at our home.
It bathed in our little bird "creek". We also had a Canada Warbler, a
Blue-grey Gnatcatcher and Redstarts. Both Tanagers (who nest here) are showing
their fall multi-colors. Red-eyed Verios are down out of the tree-tops eating
Spice-bush berries.
Today we had Golden-winged and Black&White Warblers. The Chat and Redstarts
were here again. Goldfinch are feeding many young. We still have 20
Ruby-throated Hummingbirds around the feeders at times.
