These past few days several migrants have been found drinking and bathing in my
yard stream. A first, not for the yard but for the stream, was a YELLOW-BILLED
CUCKOO that spent some time showing off before bathing (see photo link). There
was also a FOS SUMMER TANAGER that didn't like sharing the stream with a female
BALTIMORE ORIOLE, a BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER that had a squabble with a MAGNOLIA
WARBLER. An OVENBIRD came in to check out the stream. A small flock of
TENNESSEE WARBLERS dropped in with a CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER to bathe. A
NORTHERN CARDINAL did not want to share the water hole with a young, male
BALTIMORE ORIOLE, and a WORM-EATING WARBLER shared the stream nicely with a
