I drove out to Fauquier County (near Warrenton) to find the Mississippi Kite(s)
that have been reported on and near the playground of P.B. Smith Elementary
School. I arrived around 11:30 a.m. and not much was happening, so I took a
lunch break and came back, did some driving through the adjacent neighborhoods,
but no birds. So, I returned to the school playground and was eventually
treated to a single adult MIKI soaring and hunting down fairly low. It spent
more time in the neighborhood around Whippoorwill Drive than it did over the
playground. I managed a few OK photos (not particularly close), which are the
