One adult MISSISSIPPI KITE was viewed from Waynewood Elementary School,
Fairfax County, today at 9:00 AM. It appeared from the tree line in back of
Potomac Lane, the road along the back of the school, moved west and
disappeared over the tree line. There is a good supply of dragonflies over
the school fields and the kite(s) may be more active later in the morning.
I left at 9:30 with no other sighting of kites.
There was about 20 CHIMNEY SWIFTS flying in and out of the school chimney.
