Today I hiked through the southern half of Walker Nature Education Center
in Reston. The highlight was a MISSISSIPPI KITE soaring over the forest. I
observed it for about a minute - I was standing next to Glade Stream where
it runs under Soapstone Drive. Eventually it turned west.
Other highlights include WHITE-EYED VIREO, also by where Glade Stream flows
under Soapstone Drive; a WARBLING VIREO; and a SWAINSON'S THRUSH just
across Glade Drive from Nature House.
