Greetings all:
About mid morning Saturday Mary Foster called to let me know that she had
just seen a Mississippi Kite not far from my house. She was going through
South Boston on a trip so she could not stop to look for it on the way.
Later in the afternoon, I went by Freddy Collins house who doesn't live that
far from me and I told him about it and he said that he was sitting out on
the front porch and saw it fly by as well.
So this morning I put off washing and decided to sit out front in the cool
of the shade and look for one to get for my Yard List. At a 1115 hrs I saw
an adult Mississippi Kite flying over head just about a ten of a mile up the
road from my house.
This makes the forth MIKI that I have seen in VA this year (I saw two last
Tuesday at Runt's farm in Halifax Co. and the first one this year was just
out side of Petersburg) after seeing two in Arizona back in May.
