For the second year, Steve Living, Terrestrial Biologist with DGIF, and I are
monitoring Prothonotary Warbler boxes at Northwest River Park in Chesapeake, VA.
This project is one of the research projects sponsored by the Coastal VA
Wildlife Observatory with support from VA Dept of Game & Inland Fisheries and
the VSO. Dr. Bob Reilly, CVWO's Master Bander and Professor, VCU Center for
Environmental Studies, supervises the project. Many thanks to the volunteers
who help us each week.
Brian Taber, CVWO President, asked me to post periodic updates and photos to
the General Blog at the CVWO web site:

Today I posted the first note about the first month's observations in the nest
boxes at this beautiful bald cypress lined river just east of the Dismal Swamp
near the NC line.
