Seventeen birders came for the March birdwalk at Banshee Reeks. The
temperature was around freezing with a breeze and very bright sun. The walk is
sponsored by Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy and The Friends of Banshee Reeks and
is held on the second Saturday of every month at 8 am. The 44 species seen
compares favorably with the totals from the last six years with a flyover of
NORTHERN PINTAILS being the only new bird seen. We had a nice vanguard of TREE
SWALLOWS. The complete list follows:
