VA BIRDers,
After Leesylvania SP, I paid a short visit to Julie Metz Wetlands Mitigation
Bank, taking the 2 western loop trails. Although nearly noon, there were a
few birds out with the most notable being a hatch year Mourning Warbler.
The notables of the hour long visit are recorded below. After Metz, I
visited the Occoquan Bay Marina overlook and spent a few minutes counting
Pied-billed Grebes - 50 were seen.
