The Virginia Society of Ornithology lost a great supporter when Myriam
Putnam Moore died in Lynchburg, Virginia on January 15 at the age of 93.
She had been a VSO Board Member, Officer, and Editor of the Newsletter.
Most of us remember her for the tremendous support that she generated for
hawk-watching in Virginia and the recognition of her efforts on a
national level by the Hawk Migration Association of North America. There
will be a memorial service for her on Saturday, January 28 at 2:00 pm at
Diugid Funeral Chapel on Wiggington Road in Lynchburg.
