I'm at my favorite walk-to spot, a flood control impoundment in eastern
Buckingham County, formally known as Willis River Dam No. 7. At least two
Black-and-white Warblers are singing and a FOS Northern Parula just dropped
down from the trees to check me out at nose level.
Other birds of note: a pair of Great Blue Herons building a nest, the first one
I've seen here in many years. 1 adult Bald Eagle. 2 Mallards. 1 Pied-billed
grebe. 2 male Wood Ducks. 2 Canada Geese. 6 Ring-necked Ducks.

The thundering chorus of American Toads provides a nice sound track.
