Beth Lumadue and I drove up to the Lapland Longspur spot on Rt. 340 just south
of Elkton today and did not see the bird. In fact it was quiet, with just a
few Horned Larks. I suspect that some of the snow has melted off the field
since the bird was reported on Saturday.
We stopped by Hall School Road in Augusta County and did see the light morph
Rough-legged Hawk at a distance, well enough to ID though.
