Maybe this is a little off-topic; if so, sorry.
I am looking in to buying a birding scope, and I am hoping that folks on
the VA-BIRD list can give me recommendations of ones to buy. I don't really
care about having a particular digiscope setup; I care more about having a
good level of magnification and getting a clear view with good color. I
want the scope to serve where my binocs or camera (the camera suffers from
glare on the screen) would not. I don't really know the price range, but I
know I can pay at least a thousand; above that it remains to be seen.
I am also looking for information on the appropriate tripod for the
recommended scope, and where to find it.
