A total of 14 people enjoyed favorable early spring weather at today's Northern
Virginia Bird Club walk at Sky Meadows State Park, led by Joanna Taylor &
myself. The highlight was great views for all of a pair of Loggerhead Shrikes
along the Bridle Trail. We also had 7 woodpecker species including many
Red-headed Woodpeckers, beginning with one right at the main parking lot.
Ravens, harriers, red-tails & E. Meadowlarks also made themselves conspicuous.
The complete list is set out below. No butterflies as of yet.
