Larry Meade and myself will lead a Northern Va Bird Club etrip "Do the Ducks"
Mason Neck on Monday, Jan 16th. We will meet a 8am at the parking lot for
the Great Marsh trail. From Rt. 1, take Gunston Hall Rd. and go past the
entrance to the State Park. The parking lot will be about 1 mile futher on
Gunston
Rd. on the right.
We will walk in to the Great Marsh to see what ducks we find there, and then
head to the visitor center in the park to check out Belmont Bay. This will be
a good trip for beginning or novice birders - ducks are big and easy to
see...bring your scope if you have one. We will of course be looking for our
winter
resident birds as well...
