The NVBC walk at Meadowood this morning was attended by 7 people, and led
by Peter Ross and Steve Williams. It was a beautiful morning, cool and
calm with cloudless skies. Unfortunately there were few migrants present.
Good birds included a Summer Tanager and a Rose-breasted Grosbeak, both
seen well. The woods were full of the songs of red-eyed vireos, acadian
flycatchers and other presumed nesting species (including a few wood
thrushes) but most didn't care to be seen. We found 50 species in total
but only 2 species of warblers. Complete list below.
