Fifteen birders joined the NVBC walk at OBNWR this morning. The walk
started well with excellent views of a cooperative willow flycatcher near
the pond. Every tree seemed to have its own singing yellow warbler and
every grassy area a handful of common yellowthroats. The marshes were full
with red-wing blackbirds and the sky with great blue herons, ospreys and
tree swallows. Enough other species were present in smaller numbers to bring
the total to 57. All in all a very pleasant morning.
