Yesterday, I saw one or two Nashville Warblers, feeding low
in Wingstem plants in northern Albemarle County. I looked at my old
records from Maryland, and saw that several years there I had noted
after Nashville Warber, "Sept 12, general influx." Yesterday was
Sept. 12! This morning, at a brushy pond in Southern Albemarle
County, I saw two No. Waterthrushes. I am wondering if this is the
peak period for their migration. I also saw a Palm Warbler this
morning. Our NEW Albemarle County Annotated Checklist (a great new
publication, thanks to hard work of Jenny Gaden) lists the Palm as
arriving this county no earlier than the 17th of September. Stauffer
