While the hummingbirds are enjoying the cardinal flowers, butterfly larvae
are enjoying the leaves of the volunteer milkweed in my garden. I'm a novice
identifying butterflies let alone their larvae. Description of larva: about
3/4
inch long, black head and sides, solid ochre back, grey undersides, and
single white tufts on either side of the front and the back of its body. Some
also
have white tufts in their "tails".
I'll appreciate responses from the experts out there. Thanks,
