On May 3 my wife and I spent most of the day on Assateague Island looking at
birds and occasionally attempting to photograph them. I took photos of a large
solitary shorebird that I believe was a marbled godwit. The photo isn’t what
I’d like because the distance was extreme for my longest lens. If anyone is
interested in taking a look, send me email.
In the same area I attempted a decent photo of a willet that was wandering
through salt marsh. When I looked at the results I found that I had also gotten
a somewhat blurry photo of a plover, probably black-bellied, in breeding
plumage. If anyone is willing to attempt to verify the ID for me, send me email.
