There was a nice common nighthawk show at the tower buildings at Tysons
Corner this evening. Although there were only about 20 birds, or maybe even
a few less, they were down reasonably low and actively feeding, providing
excellent views. It was the best viewing I have seen this season. As the
weather is predicted to be much the same tomorrow, I would expect a good
nighthawk viewing tomorrow night, UNLESS we get a strong thunderstorm in
the afternoon.
The lights go on and the show begins at 9:p.m. I plan to be there again,
whatever the weather. .
