We've watched and photographed three sets of breeding Mississippi Kites in
Northern Virginia,
all within a circle of about four miles. All three sets (I call them sets
because we saw second
year or subadult birds at two of the locations) successfully fledged at
least one juvenile. We
never found two of the nest, but we did find the one near King's Park,
Annandale. The

I believe most of the information I have has been passed to Bob Augustine
who has been
more rigorously compiling data than I, but if there are more Mississippi
Kite locations in
Northern Virginia than these I'd like to hear about them.
