This coming Saturday, January 24th the Northern
Virginia Teen Bird Club sponsored by Fairfax
Audubon and Flint Hill School will meet for a
field trip. Since SAT tests are in the morning
we will leave Flint Hill School in Oakton in a
school minibus at 1:00 PM and will return at
5:00. The plan is to go to Prince William County
(Leesylvania, Julia Metz, and possibly the
landfill) possibly stopping at Burke Lake en
route. (The plans may change if participants
express an interest in going somewhere else.)

Please spread the word to any other teen birders
(age 13-18) who might be interested. I have
extra binoculars to share and will be bringing my
new Zeiss spotting scope. This trip is open to
all teens whether they are beginners or experts.
We HOPE to see bald eagles, harris's sparrow,
clay-colored sparrow and waterfowl. We will go
rain or shine, but not if it is snowing or
freezing rain.
