Good birding, despite intense drought.  Numerous sightings (except where
noted):

Pair of ducks flushed from stream at dusk-probably wood ducks or teal.

Green heron 1

Wild turkey (several sightings) 3

Mystery kite/harrier/buteo 1

(Actually looked like the photos of a white-tailed kite, but it must have
been a broad-winged hawk or a Northern harrier.  It was sitting on the top
of a tree, and it looked: a) small and b) WHITE, including the head. Bill
looked small and black, in contrast to the white head.)

Turkey vulture

Ruby-throated hummingbird

Belted kingfisher (several sightings) 1

Downy woodpecker (several sightings) 1

Northern flicker (yellow-shafted)

Eastern wood-pewee

American crow

Fish crow (heard-not seen)

Blue jay

Carolina chickadee

Tufted titmouse

Winter wren (landed silently on porch at dusk. Startled me, which startled
it.) 1

Palm warbler (Several lengthy observations.  Seemed to be working with
nesting materials!?) 1

Canada warbler (2 sightings) 1

Red-winged blackbird

Orchard oriole (female) 1

Northern cardinal

American goldfinch

Chipping sparrow

White-crowned sparrow (juvenile)
