Despite the wind which seriously disrupted birding in certain sections of
the refuge, our group of 10, participating in the Annual Migratory Bird
Count at OBNWR, had a total of 94 species, including Woodcock and Bobwhite.
But the best bird was a White Pelican seen by two groups, flying along the
shore at the eastern end of the refuge, bordering Belmont Bay.
