I made an abbreviated visit to Occoquan this morning. Highlights were a house
wren at the intersection of Charlie and Delta Roads and a tree swallow flying
over the field near the first exit gate. Other species of note were 2 chipping
sparrows (one along the entrance road, another along the wildlife drive near
the marsh), rusty blackbird calling at the marsh, fox sparrow in several spots,
and 6 horned grebes in the river.
