I did not luck into the mixed flock Ron Vogel reported, so my report is not
quite so interesting. Very quiet in the refuge. The highlights were a flock
of 6 bobolinks flying into the field near the pond, a young Cooper's hawk at
the pond, a yellow-bellied flycatcher and veery along Fox Road, and 2 prairie
warblers along the wildlife drive. Only 3 warbler species in all.
