[Va-bird] Occoquan NWR, 9/2

The Northern Virginia Bird Club trip to Occoquan NWR, led by Gerco Hoogeweg and 
myself,  was very successful this morning.  While only small numbers of 
migrants were about, the diverse habitat resulted in a nice mix of birds, and 
we ended up with a list of 73 species.  Highlights were a flock of bobolinks 
behind the pond, 3 ruby-crowned kinglets, 4 calling king rails, a pair of 
kestrels, great horned owl, an exquisite juvenile northern harrier, a solitary 
sandpiper at the pond near the parking lot, and lots of indigo buntings and 
blue grosbeaks. Here is the complete list.
