VA Birders,
Nice array of birds this morning at Occoquan Bay NWR. Most of the 9 warbler
species were in one mixed flock early between the gazebo at the end of Fox Rd,
and the banding station. They included Magnolia, Prairie, Northern Waterthrush,
Blackburnian, Chestnut-sided, Black and White, Northern Parula, Canada, and
American Redstart. The Olive-sided Flycatcher was near the Osprey platform seen
as I returned to Bay View Rd via Easy Rd. It perched and preened at the top of
the adjacent snag. Will add photos to eBird list later.
