Just remembered...
At Dyke Marsh, I also observed two large whitish Gulls flying directly
overhead. I did not get a good look at any features of them, but I was first
alerted to their presence by their call. The best way to describe it was that
it sounded like a woman yelling a two syllable "He-elp!" Does this sound
familiar to anyone? It's not what I have commonly heard coming from a
Ring-billed or a Herring. The birds looked larger than a Ring-billed and
perhaps a bit smaller than a Herring. Thoughts are welcome.
