On Feb. 27th, Rex Springston saw one Osprey flying near the Heron Rookery
south of 12th Street in the James River.
On March 1st, he wrote, "I went down the Pipeline area again yesterday and
saw either two ospreys or the same one twice. The first was soaring and
calling. The other was perching with the herons."
