I forgot to mention in my previous post about lawn care that herbicides
are very dangerous for our amphibians--the toads, frogs, and salamanders that
help to limit insect and other invertebrate numbers to non-problematic
levels.
All of these animals search for food among plants and they all have
extremely absorbent skin.
It's well known that amphibians are disappearing and pesticide usage is
undoubtedly playing a role.
