After the rain cleared out I spent the rest of the day birding around Kerr
Dam. At Palmer Point, the Pacific Loon was straight out from the point at a
reasonable distance. I even managed an identifiable photo. Other notables
were 2 Red-throated Loons (1 adult and 1 juvenile), 4 Common Goldeneye (all
females), a nice group of Greater Scaup, and the continuing Lesser
Black-backed Gull and Spotted Sandpipers. Links to Ebird checklists with
