With 6" of snow, thin layer of ice and threat of sleet and freezing rain
for remainder of day and cold temps not above 25 degrees, I opted NOT to
venture outdoors today.
Short while ago I took a break from computer work and looked out the back
window and to my surprise and delight, there was a small flock (6) of Pine
Siskin. By time I got back with my camera, they were gone as were all the
other birds. I suspect either the Cooper's or Sharp-shinned was making one
of its daily visits.
