I heard and then saw a single Pine Siskin (FOS) early this morning as it
flew over the conifers behind the Quarters building at Blandy Experimental
Farm (Clarke County). Another birder reported a single Pine Siskin later in
the day.
There are still a few Rusty Blackbirds hanging out with a mixed flock of
Red-wings, Grackles, and Cowbirds. A large flock of Cedar Waxwings and
American Robins are feeding on crabapples in the Rosaceae collection.
