I visited Pleasant Valley (Fairfax County park land on Old Lee Road
south of the golf course) today for one hour and found good variety.
Highlights were a WINTER WREN and SHARP-SHINNED HAWK. Excellent close
looks at the Wren - it was extremely cooperative. The Sharpie was in
the air. It made several slow circles, climbing a little, not going
anywhere in a hurry - possibly beginning a spiral for altitude.
