Going home from school today I might have had a first of season Osprey.
Unfortunately I did not get a good enough look of the bird to distinguish
it from an eagle. it was perched on a tower that was used as a nest for a
pair of Osprey last year, and I have seldom seen eagles perched on the
towers. I'll take a look tomorrow to hopefully find something conclusive.
