Walked from Great Falls N.P. to Riverbend Thursday afternoon.
In addition to the usual suspects, there was nice pair of Red-breasted
Mergansers,feeding and swimming close to the shore just below the coffer
dam. Up river about a dozen Northern Shovelers flew in and landed.
Both a bit unusual for ha part of the river.
