The Prairie Falcon was well seen, perched and flying, this morning from the
bicycle trail near the old power plant in Alexandria. It can often be seen
from the corner of Bashford Lane and Royal Street. I parked nearby and saw and
photographed it from the bicycle trail.
RFI: Can someone please confirm that this was in fact the first Prairie
Falcon seen and recorded in Virginia.
What a wonderful bird.
