Robert Hindle and I visited the Prince William County landfill this morning.
As well as the standard gulls, we found two California Gulls (one full adult
and one 3rd winter) and a couple of Lesser Black-backed Gulls (both full
adults - but we did not seriously look for immature LBBGs).
An immature Peregrine Falcon appears to have taken up residence, with a
favorite perch (close to the gulls, towards the top of the dry mound), making
several sallies but catching nothing.
There were also at least 6 Bald Eagles, and a House Sparrow or two (which I
do not remember having seen there before).
