On the way to dinner to celebrate a special event for one of the kids we
stopped by there and the birds aloft appeared to be more numerous than on
the 23rd. One of the kids was complaining so much that we left (after
alerting a big group of artists and musicians to the birds' presence).
Those guys had been cleaning up and painting murals all day in the alley
near Alley Katz. Worth going to see if you get to the roost early. The way
the regular inhabitants of that area have latched onto those birds is quite
compelling. As we left there was a large group of 20-somethings by
TECHEAD--all smiles and awe--trying to capture a big wave of birds with
their cell phone cameras (wish I had a picture of them!). Have a great day!
