I've got an art commission, and was wondering whether anybody on this list
has, or can point me to, close-up views of a band in situ around a bird's
leg. Having been to bandings, I've got the basic idea in my head, but I
like to err on the side of detail and accuracy.
Also, if anyone could pass me the subscription address for PA-Bird, I
would be very grateful.
Sighted recently: A partly leucistic Fish Crow with a group of about seven
others in downtown DC (21st and Pennsylvania). I made the ID by body
proportion and diagnostic call. This FICR has a large white patch across
one flank, extending from near the beginning of the tail coverts to under
the right wing. Behavior, call, morphology, etc. were otherwise
unremarkable.

Even while I'm writing, I am listening for crows.
