I birded my "local patch" (to coin a phrase from Stephen Eccles) this
morning, and found 25 species as listed below. The highlight was two
RED-HEADED
WOODPECKERS, 1 adult and 1 immature, in my yard. Actually they are both
regulars at this location. The interesting thing was that they were both
harvesting pin oak acorns and carrying them off to their granary trees.
