Two Red-breasted Nuthatch were seen at a feeder near Limeton, six miles
south of Front Royal on US Route 340.  At 1000, on Thursday, December 20,
the birds were feeding on striped sunflower seed.  Also seen at a quick
glance at the feeders were:

Downy Woodpecker
Blue Jay
American Crow
Northern Cardinal
Carolina Chickadee (Tentative)
Tufted Titmouse
American Goldfinch

Skim ice on the ponds at William Vincent Road left little room for the
five Mallards, 1 Northern Shoveler, and 1 Northern Pintail, and a Muscovy
Duck.  Dark-eyed Junco, Northern Mockingbird and Song Sparrow were in the
brush along-side the ponds yesterday at 1230.
